A while back the boys and I went up and spent the day with Hailey and Treyton. We went to the Hill Airspace Museum. Keaton got a little nervous in one of the rooms and said "we got to get outta here." It was pretty funny. Other than that he LOVED it and keeps asking when we can go see the big jets.

Fun Times With Grandma

Kari and Ruth came for quite a long visit a few months back. It was so fun having them here. One of Keaton's favorite things we did was build a bear. He was absolutely terrified of the loud machine that put the fluff in his bear. He loved picking out an outfit though. With no help from me, he went back and forth between the football outfit and the basketball one. He finally decided on a basketball bear, and Ruthie picked out a princess!

Keaton watched A LOT of basketball with his daddy this winter. We asked Keat what he wanted to name his bear and he told us Jimmer haha it was all his idea...so cute! He still to this day HAS to have Jimmer tucked in next to him in bed.

We also visited the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. What a cool place! The kids had so much fun looking at tons of dinosaurs, playing in water, and digging for bones. Definitely a place to go back to.

Thank you Grandma for the fun memories!!! Miss you Kare and Ruthie.

Provo Beach Resort

I'm a late poster but when the Provo Beach Resort just opened my friend Stef and i decided to go check it out. So glad we did. Pais and Keat had a blast running around somewhere new. We want to go back for a date night without kids!

Keaton looks completely onry and mad in all the pics haha he really did have a fun time. This is a mini croquet course.

There is also a little food place, bowling ally, an arcade, ropes course, bigger playground, and a golf simulator. Looks like a lot of fun.

Kiddos Update

Keaton is a smart little 2 year old that loves his brother, books, cars, basketballs, and playing with his "wedo's" (aka Lego's). He says so many words and phrases that there is no way I could even start on those. His favorite movie lately is the Joseph Smith Story from the living scriptures. haha He can tell you all about it! He is learning so much so fast.

He is FULLY potty trained and I couldn't be happier! I was running out of his size diapers and didn't want to buy more so decided to give it a shot. A friend recommended the 3 day potty training system which is an E-book and it seriously worked!!! (Thanks Lacey). Day 1 I gave him his new undies and made him throw all the rest of his diapers away. He had maybe 2 big wet accidents and he hated that so badly that that's all it took. From then on he started in his undies then finished in the potty. Day 4 he woke up and went perfectly every time! LOVE IT!!!

His thing lately is when he wakes up he says "dood morning mommy" I ask how he slept and says "dood" as he so sweetly rubs his eyes and gives me a big hug. Keaton then hears his brother crying and he gets extremely excited and says, "Tanner wate up, go get him". When I go get him Keaton says "dood morning Tan" and kisses his head. Don't know what i'd do without these boys...I love them so much.
He's going a bit crazy being inside all day with it being so cold, so we try and go to the library at least once a week. His favorite thing is to pick out a backpack to bring home. We mainly go for story time. Keaton sits right on my lap and watches all the kids sit on the rug and sing songs. haha This week he did actually get off my lap to stand and watch the kids sing and dance to a song...we'll get there! He is pretty shy around people he doesn't know, unless we're at the grocery store or random places. He will randoitmly start pointing at a man shopping and say "look mom a guy, a guy" of course as loud as possible. Then every time we pass that certain man "hi guy, hi guy" he says until the poor man acknowledges him.
We also love to go watch uncle Gent play basketball, we go to 1 maybe 2 games a week. Keat yells "shoot it in the hoop G" and "Go dons go!" He does pretty good most the time, he's figured out though if he has to go potty then he can leave for a min so we take quite a few potty breaks during the games!

Keat has had some more issues with wheezing, we thought it was food allergy so have been to the doctor multiple times. After a few visits they told us he has asthma. We have to do breathing treatments with a nebulizer 2x a day which he's gotten used to and doesn't fight much. Once he's older we can do other treatment methods but for now that's how we got to do it. Poor kid.

Tanner-
Oh where to start with our little Tan Man. He is still the best, perfect baby ever! He sleeps about 12hrs a night and we can take him out for any amount of time and he will sleep or just sit in his car seat for the longest time. I cannot believe my baby is already 8 months old. He's struggled lately with a never ending cold and also trying to get some teeth in. As his first 2 we're coming in he decided he didn't want to nurse anymore. I started losing my milk on one side haha weird, anyways, so we started him on formula and he loved it so much he decided he was done nursing all together. Not going to lie, it's been quite nice. So lately the poor little guy has been struggling with a fang tooth coming in...seems like he's been working on it forever! He's been a lot more sad than usual so we're hoping that passes soon.

Tanner is all smiles and laughs all the time. He is sitting up great and LOVES food!!! He hasn't figured out how to move in any way, shape or form which we are TOTALLY okay with. Once that starts we actually have to watch what Keat has out. He is the most mellow kid ever and is totally content just sitting watching his brother!

THE CAKE!!! Keaton has been SO into Toy Story lately that I knew what cake I had to do for his birthday. Everything is edible except for the characters. It was such a blast to make. I did bits and pieces of it over 3 days time so I could get it right. It only took 2 attempts to get the head/foot board the way I wanted. Happy 2nd Birthday Keaton Bruce Redd.

Thank you everyone for being so generous to our little guy. He won't put Buzz or Woody down for even a second! And he takes them for rides on Mack and crashes into the punching bag. Haha His mind has been so creative the last little while. It has been so fun watching him play make believe.

I had never ever dealt with fondant and was pretty nervous about it. It was seriously the weirdest thing I have ever made but SO SO easy!

Only one little mis-hap that was covered with Andy's bed. This part turned out better than I thought it would...I just mixed melted chocolate in to the fondant. The marbled look worked great for the flooring.
I did these a few days before the party to make sure I could figure it out without looking too home-made.

We took Keaton to his first BYU basketball game. He LOVED it!!! His face was in complete awe with everything. He loved it the most when everyone sang the BYU song....he got so good at rah rah. rah rah rah, rah rah, rah rah rah, gooooooooooooooooooooo COUGARS!!! Still doing it today.

Keat got a really bad cough and was wheezing pretty bad. I was so nervous it was some new allergy or something going on so I took him in. It ended up being a really bad cold heading towards the croup. The doc gave us a breathing treatment at the office (oh boy was that fun). When that didn't help too much, he decided that we needed to continue the treatments at home. We started doing them every 4 hours and gradually went off it over 5 days or so.

Halloween...only 2 months late, Our little stinker and batman. They both looked so adorable. I totally thought Keaton was going to freak out and not go trick-or-treating, oh did he prove me wrong! ha It was pouring rain so we decided to go with my brother to their ward trunk-or-treat. The rain didn't stop batman. He RAN car to car so excited and said "trit-o-treat" and after he got the candy he said "tank do" (thank you). He didn't want to leave until he finally took the time to look around and saw some warewolf and other freaky kids with masks. It was so much fun, even though we got soaked!

Pumpkin Land

It's really hard for me to post without pictures and our camera had been broken for 7 weeks now! Life without a camera is pretty tough, especially when kids grow and change so quickly! I'm still working on getting pictures from family from Disneyland and Halloween but I did manage to borrow my sisters camera for Pumpkin Land. Keaton thought this place was pretty cool. Scared of Tigger at first but then didn't want to leave.

Keaton will turn 2 next month and man are we seeing effects of terrible two's already! Last week the tantrums started and it hasn't stopped. We have at least 3 a day and 1 of them usually lasts an hour or so. YIKES. He is so fun though at the same time. He loves loves books and games and is getting so tall. Tanner is still so mellow and just sleeps and watches his brother play. We started him on baby food and man can that kid eat! So different from Keat. He will eat a whole bowl full of baby food mixed with rice cereal and still begs for more when he's done, it's great! He went from 2 months weighing 6lb 6oz to 4 months weighing 14lb 10oz. He's our little butter ball. The doctor looking at him said he would have never known that he was a preemie. He caught up super fast! So grateful. Hopefully pics from Halloween and Disneyland coming soon!

NO CAMERA!!!

We had a fabulous trip to Disneyland but when we got there we discovered our camera wouldn't work. Very bad time for a camera to be broken. Luckily Kel's parents had theirs but we kinda haven't got the pictures off it yet. So hopefully soon I can get some pics of the kiddos posted!
At Tanner's 2 month appt he was 6lb 6oz. He just had his 4 month appt and weighs 14lb 10oz and is 25in long! haha yeah pretty huge improvement. We think they were off at his 2 month but still! We cannot believe how fast our little guy is growing up. He's now eating solids and LOVES them, and sleeps like a champ! Can't get enough kisses from our little butter ball.

Camping

Trip #1
We've had many day's this summer spent up at my parents cabin lot which always makes great memories. Most the time we just go spend the day, it is so much fun and so beautiful!

Best buds, it's so fun having these boys so close in age...they play so good together!

The guys we're having a ball cutting down all the dead tree's. My dad would use the saw then the other guys would push it where they needed it to fall. Keaton was totally intrigued. He learned a new word...TIMBER "(TIMMER)" and he totally knows what it means. He was hilarious and grabbed a small new tree and pushed it down and said "timmer" over and over.

Trip #2
We spent another day up at the cabin lot. This time around with the Redd's, the highlight was riding papa's rhino!

Trip #3
This time around we did an overnighter! We had a cabin to stay in so we decided we'd give it a shot. First attempt away from daddy with just the kids and I, Kel had a golf tournament the next day so didn't come with us. We ended up having a GREAT time! And I had my whole family there to help.
My boys and I...it was a great trip but we definately missed daddy!

We stayed up til about 2am playing Farkle! I paid for it too...Tanner didn't sleep at all that night. It was totally worth it though.

These jammies are hand me downs from cousin chase...the bum has a moose on it and says "Trailing a little behind". They are getting a little small but are so darn cute.

It's so close so we randomly on a whim can go spend the day. We have been up a few more times this summer also but didn't take pictures. We love to spend time here in the summer!

Tanner's Blessing Day

I'm so late posting anything these days...quite busy with the two kiddos, but we blessed Tanner on July 11. It was so special to have not only my immediate family but all of Kelly's family here also! Getting us all together doesn't happen very often so we took advantage and planned a last minute blessing. Kelly gave Tanner such a beautiful blessing. I am so grateful to him for being able to perform this ordinance and to have the priesthood in our home! Love you hun, I don't know what I'd do without you in my life!

I have been a neglectful mother and haven't gotten Keaton a happy meal...so this is his first one from Papa Redd. I think he liked it just a little bit!

Keaton is allergic to peanuts. I was trying to hurry so the picture doesn't show very well, but his poor left side of his face was swollen...we couldn't help but laugh, he looked like Hitch.

Keat has been so so helpful with Tanner, he loves him so much!

Once again Kristin Sanchez worked her magic of photography and got a TON of adorable pictures of Tanner. He was so willing to be moved in all positions and didn't mind being naked one bit!

Kristin was very patient and tried to get some pictures of our boys together. As hard as we tried Keaton would not cooperate, but she did end up with this adorable picture which is my very favorite of them all...too bad we had to bribe Keat so his mouth is full of cookies. haha Still precious!

Tanner's Story

This is mainly for myself so i can remember how Tanner decided to come into this world. It's really long with lots of details...probably too much information but if you'd like, feel free to read!

Sunday May 23 I woke up feeling somewhat nauseous. Kelly usually goes to church meetings at 7am til about 10am but decided to call and let them know that he wouldn't be there so he could stay home and help out with Keaton since I wasn't feeling well. Have I ever mentioned what a Saint my husband is?! So I stayed in bed and about 9am I was laying down and a felt a warm gush of liquid come out of me. It felt exactly like my water breaking but I looked down and noticed it was about 2 plus cups of blood! I yell for Kelly and the calm person he is, or portrays at the time he crabs Keat and all his "stuff" and we head out to the hospital.
I cannot even begin to express the feelings we were having on our way. We had our little year and a half old buddy just going along with whatever we were doing, me bawling, and Kel trying to calm me down even though I knew he was just as scared as I was. Kel kept telling me, whatever is suppose to happen will happen, which did give me a little bit of reasurrance. At that time I think we both felt so so grateful for the gospel and the plan of salvation. That if somethig were to happen to our little angel, we knew everything would be okay. When we got to the hospital they quickly got monitors put on my tummy and the BIGGEST sign of relief when we saw baby Tanner's heart rate and everything with him totally normal. Now to where in the world did all this blood come from?! And to top it off, we weren't the only ones who couldn't figure it out! The nurses kept asking me a million and a half questions as to what could have caused this. After about 2 hours of monitoring me and questioning they ordered and ultra sound. Finally some answers. So apparently i had placenta previa and had no idea. So my placenta was covering my cervix completely. They told me that moment that I would have to deliver by C-Section. I guess what happened when I had a gush of blood I was contracting which dilated my cervix and as that dialated some of my placenta gushed out. So the placenta was completely covering where Tanner should be coming out. If I was to go into labor on my own, I would deliver my placenta then my baby, which would cause the baby to die. So my mind was going a million different places as to what to think about this, but of all things I guess a C-Section wouldn't be too bad, people have them all the time.
So they admitted me into the hospital, took some vile's of my blood to have on hand in case I lost too much and needed it and then informed me that I would be on complete bed rest there until the baby is born. All I could think was HELLO, I have 6 weeks left! I kept thinking of the MILLION things I still needed to do including my MILLION hair appts I had set for before I have the baby, plus i've got an 18 month old at home! To top it off my parents had just left on a trip to Florida and would be gone a whole week. We didn't want to ruin their trip, but we called and let them know what was going on.
They gave me a dose of steroids right away that was suppose to help boost the baby's lung development in case we needed to deliver so early. The nurses were hoping we could wait to deliver at least 2 days to get the baby at least 2 doses of the steroids. I kept contracting all day which the nurses were nervous about because the more I contracted the more likely I was to dialate and lose more placenta. There is medications to stop contractions but apparantly they would cause more bleeding so that wasn't an option. So we didn't know what to expect, a few days up to 6 weeks at the hospital. We decided that Kel should get some good sleep at his parents house where Keaton was staying so he went there and I told him i'd call if something was happening. Well suprise...4am the next day, Monday the 24th the same water breaking feeling and lots more blood! I kinda freaked since Kel wasn't there, so I called him right then and he headed down. The doc came in and said lets you prep right away. So there we went...Kel got there, I got an epidural, put Kel in funny white clothes and we headed down. It was the strangest experience ever! The last time I delivered I was in a warm room with a curtains, wall paper, and surrounded by family. This time around it was Kel and I, 4am, getting an epidural without painful contractions, cold room, huge bright lights, and a million strangers all decked out in their surgery outfits. It totally felt like what you see in the movies. Within an hour Tanner was born. He weighed 5lb 4oz and was 19in long. He came out crying which we were so grateful, they brought him around the corner to let me peek at him then took him right away to the Newborn ICU. It was a few hours before they even let me see him and when I did, they wheeled me in and let me peek at my baby boy. He had an IV in his head and tubes and monitors everywhere. It was hard to see him like that, but we knew he was in good care!
He had to have a little help with oxygen that first day but after that our little champ figured it out and was breathing on his own! His lungs were underdeveloped so he wasn't strong enough to eat on his own. They started me on a breast pump right away to get my milk supply going. Since Tanner didn't have the energy to eat, they fed my milk to him through tubes. We couldn't nurse yet because it took everything he had to try and eat so he burnt more than he got. Eventually I got to hold him and let him get the experience of latching on. They had me pumping 8-10 times a day which was not fun at all! I had to set my alarm to wake up and pump...I really really don't mind waking up to a baby crying needing some food, but to wake up to stick a pump on me, not cool!
After a week Tanner was stable enough to move to Nursery B in the NICU unit. It was a lot calmer and a lot more pleasant place to be. In Nursery A there are constant alarms going off and life flight came and went a few times, just a scary environment. My parents finally made it home and was able to meet their week old grandson! By this time I was already released from the hospital and we started on 2 feedings a day. We were blessed enough to be able to stay with the Redd's so we had a live in babysitter for Keat so I could come and go when I needed to. It was a very slow process of teaching him to eat. The goal to go home was to get at least 75% of his feeding from me. What he didn't get they fed him through a tube. We weighed Tanner before we fed him and after, and the scales they have can calculate how much he got in a feeding. This was so good for me to see because with Keat I never knew how much he was getting and we had a bad nursing experience. It was also frustrating because one feeding he would do great and gain really well and others his numbers were really low. After we got consistent with 75% of what he should be getting we got to move to 3 times a day. This was tough. Not only because we had to go back and forth 3 times a day, but we had to space it out and let him sleep in between feedings so it didn't wear him out. This took the longest for him to get, but with the help of fabulous lactation nurses we eventually got it and moved on to 4 times a day requests. I just hung around the hospital and when Tanner woke up and wanted food they called me and I fed him. Luckily my sister ended up having her baby and was in the hospital so I had her to hang out with all day. We were so excited to get our boys here just 2 weeks apart. The only sad part was that she and baby Treyton beat us home.
The final test was 2 overnighters so the next day they booked me in a room and had me do 2 full days requests. By this time Tanner was a champ and did very well, so after 3 weeks of craziness we finally go to come home Sunday June 13th. Keaton was spoiled by grandma and papa but was so ready to come home. It has been so fantastic to see my two boys bond. Keaton loves Tanner to pieces and is a GREAT help. He gets his diapers and wipes and helps put in his binky. Since we've been home Keaton takes his good 3hr nap while I get time with Tanner and for myself. Tanner is fabulous and wakes up only once, maybe twice a night. We are so blessed to have such wonderful kids!

Tanner Dale

I've had absolutely no time to update but I'm sure most everyone knows by now that our baby Tanner has arrived! I will go into details of our whole scary experience later, but for now here are some pictures of our new little guy! He was born May 24th...6 weeks early weighing 5lb 3oz and 19in long. We have spent the last 3 weeks in the Newborn ICU but are now finally home and loving every single moment!

After 3 weeks of running around and total confusion, Keaton finally got to see Tanner. He is the BEST big brother, he loves to hold and kiss his baby.
This is Keaton meeting his brother for the very fist time. As you can see, he is more than thrilled to see this baby we keep telling him about.

My sister that was due the same time I was also had her baby! He came 3 weeks early. haha I think her baby Treyton knew his cousin was here so thought he needed to come also! It is so fun to finally get them together. They are 2 weeks apart!

WE'RE BACK!!!

WOW so this is a lot harder to catch up when its been so long and so much has happened! So this is a random post in random order with TONS of pictures of our little man!
Kel and I have been wanting to go somewhere before we have 2 kiddos. A business trip came up and it was the perfect opportunity for us to get a little time together. So off to Atlanta we went! It was SO perfect to have some time to myself and with my MAN. While he was at the trade show I sat in bed, ate a lot of junk food and watched chick flicks, CSI episodes, and took long bathes! Perfect vacation for a pregnant woman! Some days Kel would get in around 2 or so and I'd still be in bed, sounds pathetic but it was absolutely wonderful! We visited Olympic Park, the Coca Cola museum and the CNN center. Thanks to our parents who took Keat for us!

Back to Easter. Keaton was so excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought him. The Redd's had an Easter egg hunt in their fabulous yard...Keaton was WAY more interested in Papa's tools and the Golf Cart!

What's Easter without little lambs?! My parents took a trip to Vernal to help my Uncle out with lambing...they brought us home a little surprise! A few bum lambs. haha gotta love my random parents. It has been so fun to go feed them bottles...Keaton loves his "baaaaaas"

Back in March we took a couple little trips down to St.George! We had tons of fun swimming and enjoying the warm weather! Keaton and Jaxon are the best of buddies, they play so good together and are partners in crime!!! So fun to have cousins so close in age!

Keaton LOVES LOVES LOVES his papa's. Grandpa was taking a little break from the slides to enjoy the sunshine and we looked over and Keaton had to do the same! So precious!!!

A few months ago we decided to get Keat ready for the new baby by putting him in a new room and in a new big boy bed! He has done so great and adapted extremely well. He loves to read books before bed and loves to wake up and have toys to play with!

A recent adventure to the Zoo. The boys had so much fun in grandma's wagon. It was so great to see the boys faces when they see animals they usually only see in books. Keaton hasn't stopped talking about the animals!

Grandma bought them an animal drink and neither of them would let it out of their sight!

And last but not least...we have been finishing the backyard! Thanks to our dad's who have helped out a TON with sprinkling system and spreading piles and piles of top soil! Thanks to the boys also for their hard work, they are great helpers!!!

So believe it or not I'm already half way there...20 weeks!!! This pregnancy has gone by so quick, I seriously can't believe in 4 short months we will meet our 2nd little munchkin! Keaton is seriously going to be the best big brother!!! I am so excited to see him and our next one bond with one another (we obviously don't have a name picked out yet, so we would LOVE suggestions...PLEASE!!!)
I haven't yet taken prego pics so I'll have to post some soon. Also some of our darling Keaton that is getting so big and has such a big personality!

On Valentines day my Bro and Sister in law had their 2nd child, a baby girl...she is so stinkin cute, I just can't get enough of her! It makes me so so excited to get our 2nd little guy here! Congrats guys!!! This is little Shaylie.

ANOTHER BOY!!! We cannot even begin to express how excited we are to add another boy to our little family! We just love Keaton to pieces and love that he is such a boy. We can't wait for Keat to be able to play cars and balls with his little brother! We couldn't ask for anything better than two boys so close in age!!! The best part about it is we already have absolutely everything we need, YEAH!!! Bring on more and more cars...We love it!!!

So I have no idea where to even begin on posting about our Christmas break!!! I guess i'll start with the not so great...we had the bright idea of switching Keaton over to whole milk; It's making me miserable just thinking about it! So I won't go in to all the nasty details, I'll just keep it at he was very very very very very constipated, miserable, and unhappy and ended up getting hemroids! Poor kid, we felt so bad for the little guy. I would sit and cry with him every time he you know what! Lets just say thank goodness for prune juice and dark karol syrup! We are just now recovering from this issue and I am already dreading my next child's milk change!

Now on to the great Christmas memories that we did have!!!

I'll start with our random last minute trip to Vegas for the BYU bowl game! Kelly's family came in the weekend before Christmas and that weekend my daddio decides it would be a great idea to invite us to go to Vegas that coming Monday. Well considering Kelly loves to watch football and BYU and was suppose to work, he was THRILLED about the idea! So we made the arrangements and made the Redd's lives very hectic and added one more child to their already full house! They were so excited and willing to take our little Keat for a few days. We had never left Keat overnight so it was a well needed trip for all of us.(We did have his issues somewhat under control at this point) We had so much fun and got to watch BYU basketball during the day, then the BYU bowl game that night. The bowl game was SO cold but they at least played really well and gave us a good game to watch! Of course Kel snuck in a little golf trip before heading home while my mom and I shopped! :)

Christmas Eve we spent with the Robinson family. A tradition we have is to go to the cemetary and light candles and sing Christmas songs.

We then exchanged family gifts which is always so fun! My mom has been wanting a wagon for awhile now, so we were so excited to give her one! She will definately be needing it this summer with 5 grandkids!!! The boys absolutely loved it!

I had to take a picture of our tree...We have been married about 3 years and this is our very first one! We happen to have a child so I did have to do a little bit of kid proofing on it. I figured if Keaton had something to play with on the tree he would leave the bulbs and other things alone...to my suprise it actually worked!!! I put the santa's and snowmen on it with the springy legs and he just played with those...AMAZING! (Well until just resently which was when I took this pic haha)

Our stockings hung on our entertainment center with care...They still look dang cute, even without a fireplace!

Yeah, Keat is walking! There is no stopping this little man now...he's got it down! He is even better since he's had his older cousins around to watch. It has been so fun watching him learn, and suprisingly we haven't had too many bumps and bruises (YET)!!! As you can see his vocabulary keeps growing also...he is constantly making us laugh!!! We love you Keaton!!!

I'm pretty much in shock this week as my baby boy had his first birthday! This last year has flown by so fast and has been so much fun. Keaton is such a BOY. He climbs up on obsolutely EVERYTHING, digs into the garbage, eats dirt, spits, throws stuff, and loves cars! He took his first steps this week which was an exciting event! He will do it every so often but is not consistant yet, he'll get there sooner than we know! Keaton is a smart little cookie. He puts the phone up to his ear when it rings, see's cars and says broom broom, and he crabs the remote and points it at the TV, he totally knows what it does! haha He is starting to copy everything we say, so is blabbering ALOT but the most common things he says are...

dad- "dada"
mom- "ma ma"
grandma- "na na"
go- "doh doh"
growls- "rrraaa"
dance-(he bounces as he repeats)"da da da"
hello-(holds everything up to his ear) "ooh"

On his birthday my mom, sister, and I decided we needed to go to lunch! haha I had just fed Keat but it was his birthday so we needed to "go out" haha. So we had a fun lunch together to celebrate! We waited til friday to do cake and presents so everyone could make it!!!

I have never attempted to make a themed cake for any reason, but I thought this was a good time to start! :) Kel's sis made an adorable cake for her little boy so I got pictures from her and just copied it! It took some time but was so much fun to make and turned out so GREAT!!! Keat and his cousin Jax went crazy over it! Keaton was a little timmid when we first gave him his giant piece of cake. He looked at us like "really, I can just dig in make a mess and I won't get into trouble?" haha He started off with the mallow and chewed on that for a bit, but once he tasted that chocolate cake and blue frosting he broke loose!!! He did great destroying it. But that wasn't the end, after he ate a TON he wanted out, so while Kel was getting the bath ready I didn't want to hold our little blue smurf so we let him crawl around on the table! Oh man was this great! He had full access to more cake, and then he later discovered how close he was to the lights! OH BOY.

Keaton has so many aunts, uncles, grandma's and grandpa's that love him so much...He was spoiled that's for sure! He was pretty boring with the whole present opening thing, he didn't really get it but he LOVES the toys!!! Thanks everyone for making Keaton's 1st birthday so special!

So recently my dad inherited this M&M dispenser thingy and has decided that it is "HIS" thing for the grandkids. It took Keaton a little while to figure it out, but once he did he couldn't get enough! My dad's "THING" is that he lets the kids keep eating until there is chocolate running down thier face!!! It was SO funny to watch Keat stuff his mouth! I have such a cute dad! (Don't mind the baby bop bib...whatever)

Our Chubby Little LION!!

Keaton looked so ADORABLE for his 1st Halloween! He was so funny, we caught him sneaking candy out of the bowl and putting it in his mouth! He would chew through the paper til he tasted CHOCOLATE...it was so darn cute! He definately takes after his mamma with that!

Last week Grandma and Papa took Keat and I up to Gardner Village to see the witches!They were so cute and so well done, I cannot believe how creative people are! Keaton has been totally obsessed with horses lately so there couldn't have been a better time to take him for a pony ride!! He absolutely LOVED it! He kept laughing in his low voice and had a perma smile on his face, it was so adorable. Then we went into the petting zoo! I didn't know how he was going to act with live animals walking around us but he suprised us and loved that also! Can't wait to go again next year!!!

That's right, BABY REDD #2 is on it's way!!! We are SO thrilled...I'm due the first of July, so I'm maybe 4 weeks along. We had to share the news so early because my sister Hailey just announced that she is also prego and we are due about 2 days apart!!! We are SO SO excited to have babies together! To top it off my brother's wife Jess is having a baby in Feb! WOW 3 additions to my side of the family before summer!!! BABIES EVERYWHERE!!! LOVE IT.

THRILLER!!! Last weekend we went to thriller with some friends, it was such a blast! I cannot believe how well they stayed into character...I was totally creeped out by it. The dancing was amazing, I would definately recommend everyone go see it! So fun to get into the Halloween mood!

Not too long ago we took a quick trip up to the zoo! Keaton and his cousin Jax had so much fun together. He looks completely onry and mad in all the pictures but he really was so good and happy. They loved the monkeys the very best! Keat was totally freaked out by the bird show...it was quite hillarious, he cried everytime the birds flew over our heads haha Fun memories!

Keaton as you see is looking more and more like a little boy...my baby is getting SO big! He is a total BYU fan, not really by choice at his age but hey gotta happen sometime! He is now crawling up the stairs and is VERY good at it, it's his favorite thing to do!

We celebrated Kelly's 26th birthday back in August! We went to St.George where him and his buddy got in some good golfing! It's always great to get away for a weekend!

Today Keat is 8 months old! He is getting so big. He got his first 2 teeth (on the bottom) within the last month and just barely started CRAWLING! The little darling is EVERYWHERE! I can't leave him for 2 minutes without him pulling on cords or sticking stuff in his mouth. Each day definitely gets more and more tiring the more he learns, but man we are having so much fun with our little munchkin! LOVE YOU KEAT!

We had a wonderful week with the Redd family. We stayed in a cabin in Heber and had a blast four wheeling, hot tubing, and just visiting together! It is always so great to spend time with Kel's family. Thanks papa and grandma for the awesome memories!!! Here are some pics from the week! We had such a wonderful 4th this year. We got to spent it will almost ALL Kelly's family, which is pretty rare since they all live away. (Brady's in China and was the only one missing). We hadn't been together with just my family in the longest time, so last weekend we decided to get together and go up to our cabin lot in fairview! The last couple of weekends for us have been full of family fun! We had a Robinson family reunion at Heber Valley Camp, it was so beautiful up there! It was so fun to see my grandpa's brothers. They remind me so much of my Grandpa that it made me miss him so much, but it was so good to see everyone! We had an auction which is always a highlight full of laughs. Everyone brings something to donate and then they auction everything off so we can pay for next years reunion! Kelly really got into this pile of fun and bought some junk for a total of a good $28 bucks! haha (It was for a good cause). There was also a bunch of really cool things that I would have liked but they got up into the hundreds and I wasn't about to go that far! :) Keaton did so well on his first camping trip (well luxury camping trip). There was hot water, heaters, and an extremely nice cabin! He didn't cry once the whole time, it even got pretty cold at times! He also slept the whole night! We have such a good little boy. We did a challenge course that was pretty fun, it was a bunch of team work games and then a huge pulley swing! We sat around the fire and talked and played cards all night. GOOD TIMES!

It is amazing how quickly Keaton is learning new things! We are having a blast watching him as he grows. This is a little peak of his darling personality! He comes up with something new and exciting everyday!

Keat is now just over 6 months. He is 23 %tile for weight at 16 pounds and 80 %tile for height at 27 inches! We have been introducing him to solids and he is going SO great! He loves rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and ALL fruits! He hates GREENS...we are having a tough time even sneaking in a couple of bites. We cannot trick this kid, he is WAY too smart! Any suggestions???

We just got back from a fantastic well needed trip to Cali! We were worried driving that far with a 6 month old, but Keaton was a little angel and slept the whole way there and back! We couldn't have asked for a better kid! Thanks to Kristi and Nels for letting us stay with them, we had SO much fun!!!

This is mainly the reason we went...after 2 boys, Kel's sister had beautiful little GIRL -Keltie- which makes 5 grand kids for the Redd family! It is so much fun.

Day at SEA WORLD! I hadn't been to Sea World since I was little and it was as fun as I remember. The shows were AWESOME and I am still AMAZED how they train fish to do tricks! It was so fun to watch our nephews as they saw all the different animals! Keaton observed everything as daddy held him...we want to take him again when he knows more of whats going on. We had a BLAST!

Kelly isn't a huge fan of Broadway Shows but for our anniversary he got us tickets to Phantom of the Opera in Vegas!!! He is such a sweetheart! So on our way home from Cali we stopped in Vegas. We went to the outlet mall and then that night grandma and papa watched Keat so Kel and I could go to Phantom!!! It was AMAZING...even Kelly enjoyed it! The talent was amazing. I wish we could go to shows more often, I just LOVE em!

This is a new casino/hotel that is just being built. We thought it was neat looking. I don't know if you can tell but it is leaning...pretty cool!!!

Keaton Update:
He is now 5 1/2 months and sitting up all by himself! Well not for very long at a time, but hey he can do it!!! He has also learned to hold his bottle on his own, which is SO nice! Our little guy is a little piggy and eats SO much food! He will eat a whole bowl full of rice cereal then another bowl of his favorite thing...peaches! It is so fun to watch him learn and grow! He has such a fun personality and reacts when either basketball or golf is on the TV. haha

Keaton turned 5 months on Monday and we took him to the Utah Thunder football game! It was so much fun! My cousin Dustin Rykert #79 plays on the team and also Kelly's cousin Jay Buck #77...knowing the biggest players on the team was pretty cool! They both did an awesome job!!! I had never been to an indoor game before. I actually like it more than other football games because everything is so close that you feel like your in the game! Keaton was so great, he loved it and was so into all the people! Then he fell asleep at the loudest moment of the entire game! haha His little personality is starting to show, and he just keeps getting more and more fun! I absolutely LOVE being a mom! Oh Keaton learned a new trick that mom and dad both love! He can hold his own bottle!!! Check it out...
He's not completely perfect at it and sometimes doesn't even know what he is doing but it is still pretty cool!!!

WICKED!!!
I don't even know where to begin!!! There isn't a word to describe how incredibly AMAZING the show is! We went in New York a couple years ago and I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!! So when Kelly's parents surprised us with tickets at the Capital Theater we were THRILLED! It was just as good, if not better than the first time we saw it, and I honestly could go every day and be totally okay with it! Thanks Mom and Dad Redd for the BEST NIGHT EVER!!!

Keaton 4 Months

I thought since I started little Keat on formula and rice cereal that he has gotten so big, but at our 4 month Doctors appt Keaton is only 16 %tile for weight at 13 lbs 4 oz!!! haha He has gained since last time, we just have a tiny tall little squirt on our hands! Imagine that! ;) He was 25.6 inches long which is the 73 %tile for height. He was 18 inches when he was born, so our little bugger in 4 short months has grown about 8 inches!!! WOW.

We had a friend take pictures of Keaton for us and they could not be any cuter!!! There was WAY to many good ones to choose from so I just had to post them all! Thanks Kristin, We absolutely LOVE them!!!

We went on our first vacation with our little bub!!! We spent the week in St.George for sunshine tournament! I was really nervous that long in a car because he has hated his car seat lately, but he did AWESOME...Yeah, we can go on more vacations!!! He slept the whole way down and the whole way back. He struggled a little bit the first of the week. He was starting to get yeast infection so we talked to a pharmacist and he told us to use athlete's foot cream for his sore bum and yogurt for the white stuff in his mouth and on his lips, he loved that!!! And I actually started him on formula. He just wasn't getting enough from me, he was eating every hour and still hungry...ever since he has been a little angel! I don't know what to do with a happy baby, this is WONDERFUL!!! It was a well needed trip and we had SO much fun! Mon, Tues, and Wed we went on a walk every morning and my mom and I just stayed in the condo and sewed the whole day long!!! It was so great! The weather was perfect. We got to spent all day Thurs, Fri, and Sat at the ballpark watching baseball and softball games! Keaton loves the sunshine as much as his mom and dad...it was really strange putting him in shorts but I can't wait til we can dress like that here! Maybe someday!!!

Kelly coached my little brother's city league basketball team this year...He was such a great coach along with Cam. They had a great year with some huge success! The team went undefeated and won the Championship!!! Way to go Coach K!!!
(Keaton usually loves to watch the boys run up and down the court, but this last game grandma had a book and apparently that was a LOT more intriguing!)

Sunday was such a special day for us! I've been to so many baby blessings but it is so much different when it's for your own! Keaton did so well and slept through the whole thing! Kelly gave such a beautiful blessing, it was just perfect! I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! We are also so lucky to have such amazing family and friends...thanks to everyone who came to help make the day so GREAT!!!

Keaton 3 Months!

Keaton turned 3 months old Monday, crazy enough it's the day he discovers his tongue! haha It's amazing how something so small can be so entertaining!

We also took Keaton to the doctors on Saturday. We have been dealing with a very very sad boy that acts like he is in pain most all the time. We thought he was just very colicky but we got to the point where it wasn't normal for such a tiny guy to cry so much! We found out that Keaton has Acid Reflex just like his dad and his papa. I wish we would have known so we could have fixed this awful problem a lot sooner! We are hoping and praying this frees our poor kid of pain!

Keaton is a growing boy. At his appointment yesterday he weighed 10.9 lbs which he is in the 24%tile and was 23.2 inches long which is in the 65%tile! So he is pretty long for his age and pretty skinny...imagine that! haha like father, like son! He also had to get his shots, poor little guy! He did pretty good though considering his scrawny little legs that had to be poked! He slept for awhile afterward and when he woke up he was his happy normal self, kicking around and talking away!

That's right Keaton was born 2 months ago...crazy! We have a doctors appt today. We haven't been since he was 2 weeks old, so I am pretty excited to see how much he has grown!

I failed to report that a few nights ago Keaton slept for 7 straight hours, it was wonderful!!! He has been really gassy since the day he was born, and we are always getting some massive toots out of him! Sometimes this really makes him upset but when we push his legs up to his tummy we usually can get him feeling better! One night he woke up screaming and there was nothing we could do to help the poor little guy! It wasn't like any other cry we had heard from him, he would wake up every 15-20 minutes with this same screaming cry. So we being first time parents were a little worried. We didn't want to be paranoid annoying parents so we dealt with it. After 3 LONG nights of this we looked up symptoms of colic on the internet, and he about had all of them. So we finally decided to call the nurse to see if there was anything we could do to help! She recommended some stuff called kid-e-col. It's some drops from the health essential store that are suppose to help with colic. Well I'm here to tell you that they worked wonders for us!!! Since we've been giving him this he has been sleeping pretty consistent for about 5 hours every night!!! And every once in a while we will even get 6 or even 7 hours! Keaton is such a good baby...we love him SO much and are having the time of our lives with him!!!

This New Years was a little different for us. Keaton was our entertainment...Kel was having fun messing with/bugging our poor little guy! It was pretty funny. We gave Keaton a bath about 9pm New Year's Eve and we went to bed at 10pm!!! Yahoo, party on! Weird how things change with a child!

Keaton's First Christmas

We had a very Merry Christmas!!! Kelly's sisters flew home the week before so we all got to spend quality time together! It is always so fun when they all come to visit! Kelly had the whole week of Christmas off which was so nice, we got to spend a TON of time together and with family! My family started a fun traditon, we had a great dinner Christmas Eve and we all spent the night at my parents house! Of course Keaton was up all night so he ended up sleeping all Christmas day! We spent alot of time catching up on sleep as well!

Our Christmas present from the Robinson side!!! We are so thrilled to have a gorgeous picture of the temple we got married in! I don't have a picture of the Redd's gift because it is in our house being very much used...We got a new WASHER!!! It is great! We are so spoiled!!! Thanks mom's and dad's!

I cannot believe how fast time goes by! Keaton is 2 weeks old and such a great addition to our little family! We are so lucky to have such a sweet little guy. Last night he slept a full 7hrs, it was so great!!! It took him a little while to figure out night from day but I think we about got it! We had a doctors appt yesterday and he is up to 7.2 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. He is still so so tiny but the doctor is very excited about his growth! We are all doing so well and having so much fun getting to know eachother!!!

Keaton decided to surprise us and come 10 days early!!!

For those of you who want to know THE WHOLE STORY...

I had a doctors appointment Monday and I had dilated to a whopping 1 and was 70% effaced. So I thought we had a long way to go. That next morning at 3am I woke up with a crampy stomach, little did I know they were contractions starting up...anyways I didn't get any sleep, I was up every ten minutes having to walk around or go to the bathroom. When Kel woke up for work I told him I didn't sleep at all but I thought that it was just a bad night with some stomach issues haha. He told me before he left that morning that I could have a baby any day but today. He had a full day at work, class that night, and then another school project. We just laughed, ya right we weren't having him for awhile. So I tried to get some sleep and I was still up and down for a few hours. My mom randomly called to see how I was feeling and I told her about my stomach issue. She told me that I was having contractions that I should be timing them, so I timed them for about and hour and they were consistently 3 minutes apart. Of course my mom freaks and tells me I should at least go get checked. After talking me in to it, I call Kel and tell him to meet me at the hospital for his lunch break. They took me in and I was still only dialated to a 2 so they decided to watch me for an hour to see if there was any improvement. After an hour of laying there in pain watching my baby's heart beat and having contractions every 2 minutes they checked me again and there was no change. I thought for sure we were going home. But since my blood pressure was high they wanted to do some lab work so they wanted us there another half hour. Luckily about a half hour later my water broke!!! So we got admitted! It all went so so fast from then on. The contractions got SO SO much worse and I was then ready for an epidural! After about 20 minutes I got the epidural and I was free of pain! Man that drug is awesome! After that we just had to wait patiently.....I pushed for about an hour and when he was down enough to see the cord was wrapped around his neck so they ended up having to cut me twice and then use forceps on our poor little guy to get him out safely! All is well now and we are having so much fun with our precious little boy. I cannot even tell you how amazing it was to see him for the first time! It was an unreal experience that we will never forget!

Believe it or not we only have 4 more weeks to go! Time is still just flying by. I thought it would slow down by now and seem like forever but every week seems to be going by faster than before! I'm getting so anxious to know everything about this little guy and can't wait to meet him!

Since Kelly left the house looking so festive, I decided to have a little fun myself! I mainly dressed up because I am so sick of wearing the same clothes everyday and wanted to be comfortable...My costume actually turned out better than I thought it would!!!

We had a fun night...we had dinner with my parents and then went to their Trunk or Treat for their ward! There were so many cute kids in their costumes...I can't wait to dress Keaton up next year!!!

Unfortunately I had to do it myself haha don't recommend it...it's pretty tough, but hey at least you can see my belly with just about 6 weeks to go!!!

So those white 'things' on my legs would be support hose...no I'm not starting a fad with white tights! I've got varicose veins so I have to wear these 24/7...they are the most uncomfortable tight itchy things that go clear up my thighs! Kel and I are going to the temple tonight...I usually wear pants to hide them!

I tried to put in a smile...too bad you can't really see it!!! I'm so excited to have this little boy!!!

Keaton is still kicking strong and I love it!!! Nights are getting a little more uncomfortable, I just can't seem to find a good way to lay and the heartburn has just started up...but I still feel great considering I only have about 6 more weeks! :-)

We still don't have internet at our house, so that's why I am always so bad at keeping my blog updated!! Anyways...Kel had his big 25th birthday on August 28th!!! Unfortunately it was also his first day of classes at UVU! So his memorable birthday consisted of work at 7am straight through till 5pm and then his class from 5:30-8:00pm. Ya some day it was! His class ended up getting out a half hour early which was great except for the fact that I also had a full day at work so decided to bake a cake a little too late! He ended up meeting me at my parents house and while we waited for the cake to finish we ate some dinner! haha

Friday we actually got to celebrate...Kel's parents took us to dinner at Chili's then we all met up with my parents and some aunt's and uncle's and went to the movie TRAITOR...it was pretty good, a ton of violence so Kel loved it!!!

For those of you that don't know we have decided on a name! It was actually very easy to decide. Keaton is the only name we both ever loved!! The middle name was also a given...Bruce is the most amazing father/father-in-law/grandpa that has so many great qualities! We're hoping Keaton inherits those and turns out just as good as Papa Redd! Kelly is the only boy in his family, so we are thrilled to keep the Redd name going!!!
These are the most resent pictures of our precious little boy! He hasn't changed much since his last pictures since they were only 4 weeks difference, but one thing we have notice that has grown is his legs and feet!!! Already takes after his daddy! As of August 13th he was 1 pound 4 ounces. Everything is developing great, and I am actually one day ahead of my due date! It doesn't seem like a big deal but I'm sure when it gets closer, one day will be a HUGE difference!!! haha

When I first saw this picture I totally thought it was Keaton's hand...nope those would be his toes!!! I think they look like fingers :)

Family Vacation!!!

I know its been forever since i've posted but I finally took my camera with us somewhere! I know I will get better once our little boy arrives, you might actually get sick of too many pics!
Last weekend we headed up to Oakley, Utah for a summer vacation. It was so fun to get away for a weekend and spend time with the fam. We rented out an awesome cabin that had a huge kitchen, very nice bathrooms, and tons of sleeping space!

Ya this is my kind of camping!

We took the boats out on Friday to Rock Port Lake which was so fun! The boat above is 'old yeller' a 1973 or 1976 I can't remember...super old, somewhat ghetto looking, but hey it runs! It's actually my favorite boat not only because it was my grandpa's and we have some great memories on it, but since I'm pregnant I'm kinda nervous about doing the whole tubing thing and crashing, but in this boat you can get a pretty good ride just from being on it! haha it's great!
Jaxon especially liked the boat! Every time he got on he fell right asleep!

The boys had a bright idea of fishing with nets and left over bread and cheese! They floated a tube out in the Lake and cast their nets! Obviously they came back with nothing...duh!!!

On Saturday we took out the four-wheelers! We had enough for everyone which made it so fun, no taking turns :) The boys made a MESS of themselves before we even left the cabin!!

We found a trail in Kamas that was suppose to be a beginners trail so we all decided to give it a try...

...bad idea it ended up being 14 miles of steep hills covered in boulders!!!! It was the longest bumpiest thing I have ever been on. We eventually made it back to the trailers, everyone alive...barely! I'm just now recovering from soreness, I won't be doing a trail like that again...at least while I'm pregnant!

IT"S A BOY!!!

I have started to feel some movement from our little boy, which is pretty darn cool actually! I love the feeling, I feel it the most when I'm sitting around not doing much. He moves a ton when I eat for some reason, he either loves food or hates it I can't tell which. We had our ultrasound on Wednesday, and it was so so fun to see our cute little guy! I didn't know what to expect really, Kel and I were really surprised how clear you could see things. We got pretty good pictures of everything except his profile, we did get a couple somewhat blurry pictures though. He kept staring straight ahead at us so we couldn't see his face too well.

So I didn't know if this first picture is appropriate but decided to post it for my sisters in Connecticut...he is for sure a boy!!! And for those of you who have been asking...I finally got a belly picture!!! It was somewhat depressing so I could only handle putting one on but our little guy is obviously growing, in my belly, and thighs, and butt and just about everywhere else...he is totally worth it though. We are having so much fun already with clothes, and of course blanket making! Kel is kinda getting sick of the baseball prints on clothes already haha. That's really all we've seen, so we are on a search for some football, basketball, and hopefully golf stuff!!!

I'm at 11 weeks today and still feeling great! I had a doctors appt on Monday and got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It is so exciting to know something is in there growing! It's starting to look more and more like a person each week!

I am 9 weeks and 3 days today, and due sometime around December 12th. It took us awhile to figure out the best way to tell our parents but since Mother's Day was coming up we decided to hopefully keep a secret and do it then. For those of you who wanted to know how we broke the exciting news here's what we did! We wrapped a picture frame with a poem that said...

Although I am very, very small
I asked my mom and dad to call
On this wonderful Mother's Day
To share the news that I'm on the way

This frame is my gift to you
To hold my photo when I'm brand new
I'll surely see you on Christmas Day
But until then, I'll just say...

Happy Mother's Day, Grandma!

Everything worked out just perfectly! No one was expecting it and of course that made it alot more fun! It was so awesome and exciting for everyone!! I was pretty nervous mainly because I have not been sick at all so it doesn't seem quite real yet but I'm not going to complain everything seems to be going very well. I had my first doctors appt last Thurs. It was 45 minutes long and all they did is a bunch of tests and paper work! So as weird as it sounds I am really looking forward to my next appt on the 28th. Even though it's the more icky physical part, I'll be pretty close to the 2nd trimester which is so exciting!!!

We got our cabinents installed on Friday...So while the boys worked on making us an entertainment center for our new home Denise and I went to check out the house! The countertop looked awesome with the dark maple cabinents we chose. I loved the way it all came together except for that they gave us a bar which wasn't suppose to be there! It was originally an upgrade so I wouldn't mind it, except for they install such a standard kitchen size that the bar encloses everything and makes the whole kitchen seem super tiny. Our house was suppose to be done this coming Tuesday but since we are having them re-do the kitchen it will be about a week longer...kinda frustrating but we want it right! Closing date is pushed back to February 6th :(
